Minutes from the centre of Morzine and the Pleney cable car ...
It’s rare to find such a well-appointed apartment for just four people (six with a sofa bed), close to the centre of the village, and the ski lifts, In fact, it's close to the centre of the action all year round! If you are looking for a base for a family holiday in Morzine, Les Cesaries could be just the property for you.
This second-floor apartment is in a development of 12 apartments with lift, making it accessible to wheelchair users. Within walking distance of the shops, bars and restaurants in the centre of Morzine, which make it the busy buzzy ski station it is, as well as the Pleney lift, a car is not essential to make the most of your holiday here.
A recent development of two contemporary chalets each with 12 apartments
The Cesaries apartment sleeps four people in two bedrooms - a double bedroom with balcony and superb uninterupted views over the village, and a twin room. There is a also a separate shower room with a walk-in shower and wc, and a lounge/dining area with well equipped open plan kitchen, a dining table which seats six, and TV corner. There is also a sofa bed which can be used for 2 extra guests. The main living space opens onto a large terrace/ balcony overlooking the slopes.
There is also a parking space and store in the garage, available to guests during their stay.
You'll waste no time getting to the slopes ...
With the Super Morzine and Pleney lifts just a few minutes walk away, Appartement Les Cesaries is the perfect base from which to discover the 12 ski stations of the Portes du Soleil.
With 650km of pistes stretching across the border into Switzerland, and almost 200 lifts, there's plenty of choice, from gentle tree-lined slopes for beginners to steep mogul fields like the Swiss Wall, which are definitely just for the experts!
If you're not a skier, or if you just fancy a change, Morzine also offers indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks, which are often host to ice hockey matches, and a stunning indoor swimming pool complex.
The more adventurous might like to try snowmobiling or tandem paragliding, or discover the area in a more sedate manner on a sleigh ride. Other ways to have fun include snowshoeing and sledging, while the Indiana adventure park just a short walk from your apartment offers a variety of activities for all ages.
A mountain playground starts at your doorstep ...
When the summer comes and the snow melts, the slopes around Morzine become a haven for walkers, cyclists and thrill-seekers.
The lifts keep running through the summer, so hikers can enjoy high altitude trails and stunning views, while mountain bikers can take the easy way up and save their energy for a high-adrenaline descent.
Morzine has earned Famille Plus status for its excellent childcare and entertainment, so it's the perfect choice for young families. There are superb water parks in Morzine and Avoriaz, as well as two summer sledging runs.
The Indiana adventure park, just a short walk away from Les Cesaries, has a range of assault courses to suit all ages, and other activities in the area include climbing, rafting, via ferrata, canyoning, mini-golf, quad bikes, fishing, kayaking and hiking.
Small children will love to visit the village of Les Lindarets, where goats wander freely - it's a great place to stop for lunch too. You can also take advantage of the Portes du Soleil Multi Pass, offering unrestricted access to the full range of family activities, for just 2€ per day.
Two countries, lakes and mountains to explore ...
Morzine and the neighbouring resorts of Les Gets and Avoriaz offer plenty of variety for a holiday, whatever the time of year, but if you venture a little further, there's plenty more to discover.
The Portes du Soleil resorts span the border with Switzerland, giving you two countries and two cultures to experience, and the pretty spa town of Evian-les-Bains, on the banks of lake Geneva, is a great destination for a day out. From there, you can take a boat to other lakeside towns such as Lausanne and Montreux.
In Chamonix, just an hour's drive away, you can take a ride on the second-largest cable car in the world, and take in the spectacular views from Mont Blanc. In summer, the breath-taking drive over the mountains to Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval, said to be one of the most beautiful villages in France, is also worth a day trip.
Geneva airport is just an hour away from Les Cesaries, making it easily accessible for a short break or a longer stay.

From the Owner
" ...a concentration of ski holiday facilities, but still manages to pull off that authentic mountain village feel."
We chose to buy our apartment in Morzine as it is an excellent destination for families with young children, beginners and intermediate skiers, with an abundance of gentle pistes. It’s a good place from which to explore the Porte du Soleil’s many off piste options if you’re feeling adventurous. With many hotels and countless bars and restaurants, it’s a concentration of ski holiday facilities, but still manages to pull off that authentic mountain village feel.
If you like Morzine in winter, then you'll love it in summer! There is such a variety of activities and sports to try, ranging from the increasingly popular mountain biking and hiking to golf, parapenting, tennis, adventure parks, white water rafting etc...
We love it!!
